Adamant Composites Ltd. has developed a R2R Pilot Line (development from lab-to-pilot scale and to production scale) for the continuous deposition of MNP-loaded sizing on fiber bundles. This line consists of a 2.6 m long drying station with controlled drying temperature (up to 200oC) and an exhaust system that a complete drying of fiber bundles can be achieved, and various kinds of solvents can be evaporated.
Achievement: The capacity of the R2R pilot line was increased from 500m per day to more than 4.5 km per day (8 hours).
